Matisse Beauty / Cora Thomas
Henri Matisse
Beauty in art is still very important today. People use decorative art to furnish their offices and homes. They find art beautiful and uplifting also. The tall beautiful sky scalpers are a sight for the sore eyes. What one person fine ugly, another may find it beautiful. Matisse wanted people to find comfort in the beauty of his paintings. Matisse enjoyed beautiful things, flowers, and music. Henri Matisse is said to have physically struggle with his paintings. Even in the hours of his death he painted. He lefted outlines of his attempts as he work on his painting of Olga Merson. The painting of Olga Merson had scuffing, and over painting of the face, neck and forearm and the gallant black marks that so severely repeated the figure’s placement on the canvass. There are some say that his encounter with Pablo Picasso affected him, Matisse soon moved away from bright colors of to new artistic topography.
